[ Surrounded by the chaotic lights and sounds of the arcade is a masked girl, practically glued to the UFO machine. It was annoying at first, but it's pushed beyond that. Now it's personal. ]
Who do you think you are, machine?! I've defeated foes far greater than you! Your cheap tricks won't save you!
[ The machine clamps down on her fingers again, derailing her tirade. In frustration, she starts pounding on the glass, threatening to break the machine. The weird part of the scene is that, for some reason, all her yelling is in a mildly-elevated monotone, and there's no expression on her face at all.
Still, you should probably stop her before broken glass gets everywhere. ]
-2- Ghost Sharks
[ Ghost sharks! Attacking in the streets! But fear not: It seems a hero has risen to oppose them!
Her naginata is unfortunately missing, but Kokoro has made do by arming herself with a lead pipe she found. After bashing the shark in the head, it disperses and reappears nearby, giving her time to place herself between it and its next would-be meal. She strikes an overwrought pose with her pipe, like something out of a kabuki performance. ]
Wicked spirit! Blame your own misfortune for choosing this day to feed on innocent humans... for today, I, Hata no Kokoro, shall punish you for your misdeeds!
[ Kokoro isn't a hero, not really. She's a performer, though, and when evil forces are about, what better role to perform? Also, maybe if she's cool enough, she can win over some of those kids and get her hands on the shark totem.
To destroy it, of course. Not to use it for herself. Definitely not thinking about how much fun that kind of chaos could be. No, sir. ]
-3- Cursed Corners
[ Well, playing the hero built up some momentum, so might as well stick to the role for today. Being a wicked youkai can wait until she has a better understanding of the political landscape, or at least some of her powers back.
In these cursed corners of the city, it's not hard to pick up on what's going on. No idea what a cell phone is, but these humans(?) are having their dark secrets and sins displayed to an ogling crowd. How better to help them than to draw attention away from them?
So, Kokoro drifts between corners, doing whatever she can think of to get all eyes on her. Sometimes, she plays the horror villain, obscuring her face with a frightening mask and asking if people find her beautiful. Sometimes, comic pratfalls or ridiculous jokes and monologues. Sometimes through abstract old-fashioned dance, which she's quite good at. All of them delivered with a variety of different masks and the same blank facial expression.
Hopefully once the distraction has done its job, at least some people will wander off in search of a new spectacle. You're welcome? ]
