And they're certain it only went as far as aesthetic, because they doubt someone like Richard Magnus had much genuine appreciation for the rich history of the country. "That doesn't really answer why this particular deity would be responsible for what happened, though. You know?" They don't feel like they have to confirm that, really, but at the same time, they are the newbie. "Unless—was it Kaigou no Bou? Unless it was built on some sort of sacred soil. Which still begs the question why Haniyasu would wait until now to do something about it."
