tifa lockhart 🐬 final fantasy vii

🌠 i. muscling in
[This isn't Tifa's first encounter with gangs. Living in the slums of Midgar meant that they would come and go, although they tended to be much more subtle, with their wars being fought being more territorial than simply wanting to stir up trouble out of spite, or for the sake of it. She could stay out of it, keep to her business in the safety of Seventh Heaven, and continue living her life as if they were never there. However, youth gangs are an entirely different story.

It's one heck of a welcome party, to say the least, being thrown into the forays of these streets before she can get any one of her hundreds of questions about what this place is, where she is, and about the factions answered, and then being told that she'll need to put up a fight against them on top of that should any attack. Attacking grown men who think it makes them look tough to fight is one thing, attacking kids is another...

So when she's faced with one particular fight-thirsty group all on her own, she's at a crossroads on how she wants to handle this, and one might find her with a kid's wrist twisted in her hand as he goes in for the first blow.]

Please, I don't want to hurt any—

[Except his friend takes the opportunity to try and land a kick to her kneecaps, only to have the favour returned in full, Tifa's foot cracking against his instead to send him tumbling to the ground as she apologizes, still holding the other by his arm. There's a third out of her field of vision, hiding around a corner and waiting for the perfect time to strike.

Is anyone else willing to make the hit for her to get this little gaggle of rebellious kids off her hands!?]

🌠 ii. strike a poise
[Serving drinks in traditional wear? How hard could that be? Tifa's already had the time and opportunity to get the first part down pat—she can pour drinks all day and not get tired of it, but it's the outfit that she's put into that has her immediately questioning her decisions. But money is money, right? And if she's going to manage her way through this and keep her head above water long enough to figure this out, then she needs to start making that and some connections—that was one of her lessons, after all, and she would do well to follow her own advice in a place that isn't so different from the... least ideal parts of the slums, but the slums, nonetheless.

She hasn't even come out of the back yet before she's teetering on these shoes. She never did think serving drinks in heels was practical, but one can even barely call these... shoes. They're uncomfortable, and even those with the best balance (her) could have trouble keeping it.

Whoever she's passing in the back will feel a light body stumble against theirs, and a hand grab onto whatever it can to stop her from falling or dropping this very large, very heavy bottle of champagne that she cradles under an arm.]

Sorry... [comes an apologetic voice, and Tifa straightens herself out.] Still trying to get used to these. Wasn't expecting them to give me a pair like this.

[And lo and behold, with a flush to her cheeks, she shows off the heels on these shoes that would put even her finest pair to shame... as she topples over again.]

🌠 iii. the 100 billion yen man
[A job like this is much more up Tifa's alley than any of the others she's been given in the mere hours that she's been here. Has it really only been hours? She's barely been able to keep track of it all, but what she does know is that if a girl needs rescuing, then she would do it with or without the bounty or the contract, but being new, it's only a bonus. She doesn't even need to be asked before she's volunteering herself up, turning down any offers of gear or weapons—the only weapons she needs are on her person at all times, but she does have plenty of questions.

So, the moment Tifa finds someone else to help her on this quest to hunt down the Iron Bear, she wastes no time in getting to them.]

First things first... Getting a lay of the land. [In case it isn't already obvious, she adds on with a crooked smile:] First day. I don't exactly know my way around.

[And if there's to be a hunt, then she wants to at least know where she's going. A map might be helpful?]

🌠 iv. wildcard
[None of these work? Feel free to leave something else below. Open to Jigokuko's Got Talent and Sticky Paws prompts, or something completely different if that's your flavour.]
