[If there's one thing Heizou won't stand for, it's someone thinking they can step on the little guys. He's been keeping his eye on the various youth gangs who have been moving in on the local businesses and just as he was about to make a move of his own... here comes an opportunity for him to do just that without it seeming like he was acting as a lone wolf.

That's just fine by him.

He has never needed his Vision to pack a punch despite his slight frame and his appearance is something he can use to his advantage. As he faces a small group of gang members with nothing but his bare hands to defend himself with, the young detective flashes an amused smile and with an entirely flippant drawl he calls over to them.]

I'll give you one last chance to turn around. [A beat. His smile turns sharp at the edges. It looks like he's planning to take them all on by himself. Pity, really... he was hoping they could talk this out before resorting to violence.] No? Then I guess your minds are made up. Don't say I didn't warn you.

[He's been waiting for this. When some important is kidnapped there's always a flurry of activity about it and when the news finally breaks Heizou is sitting close to one of the televisions in one of the city bars, idly nursing a half pint of something that stopped bubbling a while ago. He perks up immediately - visibly - when Kaberou appears on the screen.

I don't usually work with a partner, but I think I might make an exception in this case. [Heizou doesn't look like much. A small, slim-framed young man who seems like a stiff wind could pick him up... but the look in his eyes is unmistakeable. He's caught the scent of a hunt and he's ready to join in.

He leans back from the bar, looking around until his gaze locks with a likely-looking target. It could be that he's entirely wrong and this person wants absolutely nothing to do with it... but Shikanoin Heizou can be a force of nature, and they might find themselves being swept along with him regardless.]
