ORIGIN: Revachol, of the Insulinde on Elysium (not Earth!). Biracial; half white, half Seolite (an East Asian pastiche).
LANGUAGE: English, French
VISION
Kim is a 43-year old biracial (asian/white) man who, save for his receding hairline, looks younger than he is. His black hair is usually slicked back, with a close-shaven undercut underneath it, but there are perpetual cowlicks springing out of his gel that he's constantly attempting to tame. He wears thick circular glasses and is most often seen in well-tailored bomber jackets, cargo pants, combat boots, white t-shirts and tank tops and driving gloves. If you ever see him without his gloves, it becomes clear he wears them due to a bad habit of chewing on his nails. He has a sparse moustache on his upper lip, a large, slightly crooked nose, a weak chin, a slight overbite, and thick lips. All of his clothing is tailored to fit him perfectly, but the fact that he favours large jackets brings attention to his lean frame; he's fairly muscular underneath it, but the overall impression is that he's scrawnier than he really is, and a little shorter than average. His body, while covered, is studded with scars from plenty of fights, including some knife wounds and at least one bullet wound. He has perpetual bags underneath his eyes, which counteractively make him look younger.
He has a famously inexpressive face, save for his brows (which do a lot of the talking for him), and it's difficult to tell what he's thinking at any given point in time; he takes stoicism to its logical conclusion. You can learn how to read him over time, but you have to really be paying attention. In terms of body language, he holds himself very straight and tall, hands perpetually tucked behind his back, and with a great degree of formality. You'll seldom see him relaxed. Above all else, he exudes a sense of substantial authority -- whether he's in charge or not, he sure makes it seem like he is, though his authority appears to be something to be trusted rather than something to be feared.
At the end of the day, he's pretty normal looking! This is the uncle you run into at the supermarket and don't think twice about. Compared to the sort of supermodels you get in DWRP especially, he looks like a dude who really doesn't belong here.
SOUND
Kim has a relatively deep voice with a thick French (in-universe known as Suresne) accent and a tendency to occasionally slip into purely French pronunciation. His tone is quiet, calm, professional, and surprisingly gentle and reassuring with a relatively friendly lilt to it. He rarely expresses strong emotions, preferring a flat affect whether he's joking or disappointed, and it stands out when he gets riled up enough to raise his voice one way or another. Above all else, he always sounds very, very collected. His wording tends to be both formal and professional, and he has very few vocal tics aside from often clearing his throat (written as "khm" in canon), or using filler words like "uh" when truly at a loss. His restraint is very purposeful; you get the feeling that he is actively holding himself back. If you can provoke a laugh out of him, he has a habit of snorting when he laughs. His humour tends towards heavy sarcasm.
His voice actor is great; I recommend that you check him out! You can hear some general voice clips HERE, and then a kind soul uploaded some emotion examples: talking about himself, worried, sarcastic, happy, angry.
SCENT
Kim favours an aftershave that smells strongly of pine. Chestnut-scented cigarette smoke clings to his clothes as well as the scent oil rags, transmission fluid, and brake pads from the motor pools he frequents. (We know this because you get to smell Kim in-game. Thanks, ZA/UM.)
MISC
Kim's judgment & approval have tangible powers in-game, and so they do here too: see HERE for more details! He always carries his notebook around with him and can often be seen scribbling notes in it. He does this - and takes off his glasses to wipe them down - most often when he's uncomfortable, which he usually is during blatantly emotional conversations. If he is trapped in such a conversation, however, he tends to be physical with his comfort, tending to grip people's shoulders or to pat them reassuring on the back. He smokes once a day at his day's end, and it's his favourite part of the day; he relishes his little soldier with absolute delight. He is incapable of blushing, save for his ears, which are sure to glow red if you flatter him.

VISION
He's not tall, but not short. Generally carries himself with an air of arrogance/superiority. He is well-built and muscular, but tends to wear clothes that conceal it. His hair is dark, long, and wavy, borderline curly, normally worn up in a ponytail. He has a small tattoo on his right forearm that looks like this -- don't ask him about it. That's the tattoo he was given when he was captured in Kyoto for vagrancy before being released, only to immediately be captured by authorities from Tosa. Not great memories there!
He is possessed by a tengu named Karasu and has some unique features as a result. His ear tips are pointed, he has clawed hands, his canines are pointed, he has large black wings, and crow legs from the knee down.
SOUND
It's worse than you can imagine. He's from Tosa and has a thick Tosa accent. He's usually very loud, it's when he gets quiet that one should be afraid. Quiet generally means he's pissed off and ready to cut someone.
SCENT
Cigarettes, booze, occasionally with a warm, musky cologne. Will also sometimes have the distinct coppery scent of blood -- he is a killer and does get into a lot of fights. Blood is not strange to smell on him.
MISC
He has a variety of styles of clothing he might show up in and a few different hair colors! A quick reference of his ears and teeth (art by Rachel).

VISION
There's no official in depth visual description of Jon provided. What we know is that he's "scrawny", "looks like he barely sleeps", and "looks older than he is" with some premature graying hair. He's exactly what you'd expect of a stuffy academic nerd working in an Archive. It's also clear from early on he takes himself very seriously and wants to be taken seriously so I tend to lean into his academic profession with a shorter hair cut, button downs and vests/jumpers with slacks. THAT SAID: He's also just spent several months in an Apocalypse so he's going to take whatever clothes fit at this moment.
Along with that, Jon also has a lot of scars. From most notable to likely to not be seen, he's got:
until he doesn't. All in all, he’s definitely had a Great time partying. Oh - sorry, checking my notes here, “partying” should read “fighting for his life”.Unfortunately with a podcast with no specific descriptions, everyone's got their own facecanon for the characters. I tend to go in the direction of a lighter skinned mixed race Jon with shorter hair and a beard trying desperately to grow out. (This is my plea for folks not to mind the mix of fanart and live action PB icons I am doing my best here I’m trying) Jon tries to carry himself seriously, but between his injuries and everything that’s happened in his life, he comes across either oddly relaxed or extremely anxious depending on how badly his paranoia has spiked at that moment. If he’s supremely stressed out he can be found somewhere quiet and private trying to smoke a cigarette.
SOUND
Jon sounds like a posh Englishman, universally agreed to be RP connotation. A short clip of him talking to others. A fairly neutral voice but quite soothing to listen to once he gets to talking for a longer period. Jon keeps his tone fairly even but he has been known to raise it into a loud shout that sounds like it hurts his throat a bit. But he’s just as capable of quiet, introspective tones as well. If you get him talking about his boyfriend, Martin, his voice will go even softer.
SCENT
The only really strong smell anyone might pick up from him is cigarette smoke smell. Otherwise, he tends to either forget to shave, or go for either an unscented aftershave, or something resembling the ocean as subtly as he can.
MISC
He is not so secretly a cat person no matter how much he tries to hide it. And if your character will allow it, Jon will infodump about things he has weird information about. Fun side note: his voice actor used to be lead in a band! Take that as you will because I plan to. Jon is also not very comfortable with physical contact; while he can be a great listener and sympathetic, physical touch is not something that comes naturally to him, even moreso after being hunted down and tortured for the last few years.
He has an opt in post that would help me out a lot if folks hit that up! Just because his canon deals with a lot of fears and phobias and I just wanna know what’s good and what isn’t to come up in threads.

Aster's vibes are rancid, but the rest of him is deceptively pretty. He holds himself confidently, albeit in an almost seductive manner; his hips are cocked when he's standing casually, and one hand's almost always hovering around his face. He's pristine, free from blemishes, with an immaculate mani-pedi going on, and his clothing matches. Everything's carefully calculated, in short, to make himself beautiful and alluring.
SOUND
his voice is very divisive. You'll either hate to hear him speak or think it suits his appearance. Or both. It's typically very saccharine if he's trying to suck up to someone or at least play nice, but he also has a very foul mouth when his temper flares up.
SCENT

VISION
Nei is a young woman who looks like the 1980s personified. A black hairband with a red gem keeps her immense mane of purple hair out of her face - which looks like it belongs in a hair metal band rather than on the rival character of a mecha anime, but she pulls it off, and even manages to cram it all in a helmet, several times. She wears what looks like a black suit with a slightly futuristic bent, with elbow-length white gloves, a white cumberbund, and white kitten heels. Overtop this, she wears a red shawl with a blocky blue pattern around the edge.
She's almost never seen without a full face of makeup - if you manage to see her like that, either she trusts you a lot, or you've invaded her privacy. Her expressions are mostly subtle, save for her negative ones. If you've crossed her, you will know it, if not by her lashing out, then by her expression. She's terrible at hiding her anger and annoyance. She can get more expressive with more positive and neutral expressions, but only in situations where she's very comfortable and not expecting to be interrupted.
Her vibes are intimidating, but at the same time, she is very quick to back down if she feels like she's been personally insulted/disrespected - a number of her early appearances have her leaving the battlefield on a whim simply because the protagonist keeps finding ways to get around her mech's bullshit energy shield and do usually cosmetic, but insulting damage - often to the face.
SOUND
Nei sounds like the fairly typical mostly-stoic early-to-mid-80s haughty lady anime antagonist, from before the Noblewoman's Laugh caught on. She's got a tone on the lower side, though it kicks up and gets rough when she gets especially flustered and angry. Some samples from her appearance in Super Robot Wars 30. Japanese only, this show absolutely hasn't been dubbed.
SCENT
Pleasant and clean since she has a strict hygiene routine, but whatever she uses would presumably not have a very strong perfume since the military would likely frown on that.

JAIKA SUNI

ORIGIN: Kuzin, a backwater planet in the Outer Rim, known for basically nothing.
LANGUAGE: Galactic Basic (native), Togruti (fluent), Huttese (conversational), Binary (bad)
VISION
Jaika is a Togruta, a species known for their brightly colored skin patterns and the horn like organs on their heads. His appearance further stands out due to the heavy scarring he has along the entire right side of his body due to an explosion when he was younger that cost him his eyes. It makes him walk with just the tiniest bit of a limp sometimes, and while he was ambidextrous growing up, he now favors his left hand. He prefers clothes that minimize how obvious his scars are, so long sleeves and long pants, usually in earthy, neutral colors. Given the shape of his head, unfortunately, it's difficult to find hoods that fit him without looking ridiculous, so the facial scarring is hard to hide. He tends to wear a blindfold most of the time, as a sort of visual shorthand for "Yes, I am COMPLETELY blind" so people don't ask as many stupid questions.
Though he doesn't need to, Jaika usually walks with a cane that he uses to tap out the ground before him, entirely as a ploy to be underestimated by anyone watching, but if he's in danger or otherwise just in a hurry, he'll drop the act and speed up, navigating his environment with just about as much confidence as if he still could see.
SOUND
Jaika has a vaguely soft voice and rarely sounds like he's taking the situation entirely seriously. He is, but he deals with stress by humor, so sometimes it's hard to tell if you don't know him. He perpetually sounds flippant unless the situation has gotten TRULY dire. The rest of the time he switches back and forth between the roles of the wise mentor, the wise-cracking jokester, and the rebellious rogue as the situation calls.
SCENT
Jaika does not go for any kind of scented soaps, deodorants, or cologne at all, so any scent he has is entirely natural. It's not a natural that smells natural to anyone from Earth, though. He is, after all, an alien. It's the scent of sweat, but it doesn't smell like you feel like sweat is supposed to smell. Just a bit off.
Fortunately, he takes showers, so most of the time it's hard to notice.
MISC
Jaika drinks. Not heavily; you won't find him passed out in a dumpster, but he does keep a flask on him most of the time that he will take a swig out of occasionally when he's feeling stressed out. He may offer you some, if YOU seem particularly stressed out. Also, Togruta in general have a sort of passive echolocation ability, which can sometimes give him the impression that he has eyes in the back of his head. He won't be able to count how many fingers you're holding up, but he will have a vague awareness of where everyone around him is at all times.

VISION
Sholmes’ height would lend to the (correct) impression of a somewhat slender build. Fair-skinned with angular features. Possesses a mop of rather poofy blond hair, but is otherwise kept fairly well-dressed that implies some kind of conscientiousness of his apperance. Carries himself well, except when he sulks; then he slouches rather dramatically. He probably has more than a few small scars collected from his investigative adventures over the years, all of which would be hidden beneath his clothing.
Overall, his general demeanor is exuberant, loud, and littered with lots of vigorous gesticulations. He’s almost always found with a pipe in-hand, and his outerwear leans into the detective pastiche (his own pastiche??) of a brown overcoat and deerstalker hat.
SOUND
Sholmes speaks, generally, with the verbal cadences and syntax of someone from 19th century/turn of the 20th century Britain. Bright, enthusiastic, amused-sounding. Can trend towards more even-keeled intonation when the situation is serious, though that is something of a rarity. Laughs loudly, a little explosively, and part of the reason why he comes across as obnoxious; gives the impression that he’s someone who likes he sound of his own voice.
Here are some of his English voicelines, which is how I hear him in my head. However, please enjoy his wonderful laugh in one of the drama CDs.

VISION
Aerith is a slender woman of small stature with a feminine air to her. She has long limbs, legs for days and a delicate looking frame— she's definitely not got any kind of muscle to her. What she lacks in muscle, she makes up for in presence, with a big personality, heaps of determination and a stubbornness that could make mountains move. Her face is oval shaped, with a long, straight nose, big round eyes, and a slight overbite. She's got pronounced canines! (Thank you for that, FFBE CGs) Aerith keeps her hip length hair tied up in a rope braid that she holds back with her signature pink ribbon. A keepsake from her mother is hidden in her braid. She tends to favor easy to move in, girly clothing despite her up-front, ready to rumble attitude. She may come off as quirky or strange, but Aerith is a street-smart young woman with a vibrant, cheerful personality. Naturally rebellious and inclined to help, she takes everything on by herself.
SOUND
Disney princess. In JP, she's voiced by the legendary Maaya Sakamoto, but I reference Briana White's performance, mostly. She has a sweet, high-pitched voice that sounds like she's never uttered a swear word in her life, and gives the impression of someone fresh-faced and ready to take on the world. She is very emotive in tone, and has no problem acting bratty or shouting when it suits her. Also: While she's perfectly capable of saying "Hi" or "Hello", she favors "Heya!" as a greeting, almost to the point you can tell how sincere she's being just from greeting.
SCENT
Fresh laundry and soap, with an under current of flowers and fresh soil. She doesn't wear perfume but keeps clean. You might smell heavy duty cleaner on her from time to time, depending on if you caught her on deep cleaning day, in fact.

EYES: Normally grayish brown, but thanks to the Hashihime possessing him, they look like a bright and shimmery cyan, that only gets more intensely saturated if he's in or near water.

The only real verbal tic of note is that he laughs by going nyahahaha, its natural and not faked, it is deadass how he has always laughed, and I am dying slowly from this knowledge.

Normally I'd say dusty books and ink, but in Jigoku specifically he's been actually using lotions and stuff that smell like his favorite flower, hydrangeas.

VISION
The word of the day is "nondescript": You're more likely to notice he's serenely calm and patient (or, depending on the situation, hiding his emotions behind a serene mask) than his looks. He carries himself in a way where he appears unintimidating and, well, boring. (This all changes if he's in combat, which is something he'd prefer to avoid.) He keeps his hair short and tidy, and his clothes and possessions tend towards the inexpensive or plain, even shabby. Minato wears a set of Buddhist prayer beads, usually tucked into his shirt, and prefers to wear geta over shoes because he is a hick from the mountains.
(He isn't literally identical to his friend Eiichi Segawa (Kawase), but even side by side they are nearly the same height and age and have nearly the same haircut, and one could easily be mistaken for the other... until the point they started talking.)
SOUND
Calm, even-tempered sounding; even when pissed he doesn't raise his voice very much. Here's a bit of his dialogue from his ending sidestory. (Please skip to 43:05 for the worst way to 2-seater a bike.) Delightfully, the dialect of the region he's from is considered rural; given his measured way of speaking, this is less evident, but still recognizable.
SCENT
Nothing special: old books, clean fabric. Given he's using the same soap/shampoo as his roommate, he might smell of hydrangeas, but that's about it.
MISC
Character sprite, alternate sprite, full body, and one of the game CGs.
Also, ok, the supplementary manga is really bad about the sameface, but I just want to appreciate how much it really looks like Tama has two matched bodyguards (Minato on the left, Eiichi on the right).

VISION
Kimmuriel is notably small, with his build somewhere between 'thin and scrawny' and 'delicate'. He wears his thick white hair in a tied back ponytail and is usually dressed in hard-wearing dark clothing. Aside from the features that mark him as drow - pointed ears, red eyes, stark white hair, and a dark grayish-purple skintone - he's not remarkably beautiful or anything that might be expected of a dark elf. He's simply ordinary, at least by his own kind's standards. Whether he looks vaguely pretty by anyone else's view is probably up to viewer interpretation overall.
He's pretty infamously emotionless, or at least seems to be - he barely emotes visibly at all, though he's gotten better at it in the last hundred years or so about doing it around people he doesn't find objectionable. His body language is similarly disaffected, and he assumes a neutral-formal stance more or less at all times. He gives off the air of someone who doesn't want to be disturbed, no matter what he's doing. He has very little in the way of idle movement if he's not actively using his hands for something. He gives off the impression of being very controlled.
SOUND
Kimmuriel is a book character so I have no clips, tragically. He's very flat and toneless, and he only raises or changes his tone of voice and manner of speaking if he has something to say (or, usually, because he's telling someone off). He's not so much calm as impassive, but he usually is calm, so they sort of overlap? His voice is just as controlled as his body language, so it can often be hard to tell if he's actually Going Through Something or not because he hates showing weakness.
He speaks a little quickly and with a moderately thick accent. He tends to linger on vowels and rush everything else a little. When sounding out new and unfamiliar words, as well as anything else not in his own tongue, he speaks slowly and clearly.
SCENT
Pretty plain honestly. He's not into scents so he mostly just smells like clothing or whatever he's been working with at the time. Occasionally he'll smell like soap if there was something he particularly wanted to get rid of.
MISC

Blink twice, and you'll miss him in a crowd. Actually looking at Kamui reveals a bit of a babyface with softer features and a slightly rounded nose: he's in his late 20's, but can easily pass younger. He dresses in what can only be described as business casual (dark blazers or cardigans, button-ups, slacks, loafers) and carries himself with a certain detached politeness to his manner-- the effect is, overall, someone who isn't really capable of emotionally or mentally clocking out of the office. As of late he's eased up slightly, though: there's occasional glimpses of somebody lighter and cheerier underneath the awkward, and he emotes and smiles much more than his previous perpetual impassivity.
SOUND
Max Mittelman in English, Soma Saito in Japanese. At this canonpoint he sounds a little more like uhhhhh Resasuke LOL. He's soft-spoken and slightly boyish-sounding, but rather articulate. Closer CR will hear him slip up into less formal speech and more frequent stammers or filler "um"s, but to everyone else he makes an effort to come across as composed as possible.

VISION
He's broad shouldered but otherwise very lanky. He's skinny with no ass, and has long legs. While he doesn't hunch, he's carries his shoulders low which communicates his lack of assertiveness as a person. He's got Anime Spiky Hair, that's combed to one side because it only grows on half his head. The other half of his head is extensive scar tissue, along with three X shaped.. stitches? I don't know what they are or why they're there. Oh also there's the hole that goes entirely through his head. Don't worry about it, it's fine. Also, highlight for gory fun fact; word of god is that the reason why that side of his face is scarred is that when the hole was drilled, the skin got caught in the drill and was torn off.
He also has a piercing in the corner of his lip, his eyebrow, and two in his ear along with a cuff. Very cool and punk. He does not act cool or punk, though he desperately wants to be cool. Mostly he's just a sort of hapless demeanor, often with a sort of sad or contented smile on his face, often because he is either Smiling Through The Pain or because he's currently not thinking. In person his body language is often very uncertain because he is not used to social interraction.
SOUND
Fukuda has a surprisingly deep voice, and his tone generally remains very level and calm, though he's far from emotionless. He tends towards a more placid and pleasant demeanor and this is relefected in the casual tone of his voice. Also, for those curious, he does use "Ore" as his personal pronoun. He does often give people familiar nicknames to express closeness, and at time will say certain words in English, but besides that there aren't really any peculiarities in his speech.
SCENT
Honestly I feel like he smells faintly like soap and antiseptic because he surely needs to be fairly fastidious to keep the hole in his head clean. Beyond that there's perhaps a very faint almost imperceptible smell that's hard to place, something like dried blood or basement must or rot. Maybe it's just the lingering smell of the blood rain :)?
MISC
Since someone said dog or cat coded, Fukuda is absolutely a dog, specifically a Greyhound, even more specifically he is Jennamarbles' Italian Greyhound Kermit. However his detectivesona, Anaido is fox-coded and no I won't explain why it's different, who/what Anaido is or why he doesn't have the head hole.
Also another fun fact is that the head writer of the show also likes to draw the characters and he draws Fukuda as having the skin of his right eyelid having also been removed, giving him an alarmingly bug-eyed effect, but clearly the anime staff vetoed that choice.

VISION
In general, Hizen keeps his head down, walks with a slouch, and carries himself like he's always tired. In Jigoku, he wears a lot of worn and casual clothes. You can always see that it's a little torn or faded out in places. He really doesn't care much about appearances and all of this just makes him look much more unassuming than he really is. He's not exactly short but he's surrounded by a lot of taller people and his whole demeanor just makes him seem smaller. He's one of the Shuten twinks but underneath it all, he's actually very fit and all lean muscle.
Of note, he always always has his neck wrapped in some sort of bandage, scarf, or high collar. This is to hide a scar that goes entirely around his neck. He's very particular about keeping it covered most of the time because he hates talking about it. The scar is a manifestation of the time he broke as a sword (very traumatic!) and how his master, Izo, died (beheading! also very traumatic!).
One side of his hair is bright red. It's totally natural! His artist also made a point to mention that his eyes don't have any light to them. Combined with his eye shape, he always looks tired, gloomy, and depressed.
His demeanor changes when he's fighting. He suddenly becomes more confident and arrogant, he stands a lot more proudly, and he smiles more. He has strong bloodlust and becomes feral.
In canon, it's noted that he has ~the air of a killer~ to him and people/animals can sense that he's a killer. Since he isn't human, characters who are sensitive to spirit shenanigans can probably sense that he isn't human either. He always carries his sword with him in Jigoku so they can likely sense the connection between him and his sword.
Age-wise, he's at least 500 years old and at most, about 600 years old. Physically, he looks like he could be an older teen or a short, young adult. I usually say between 18-20 years old depending on how your characters perceive age. He might look older or younger depending on what your characters are used to in canon and I'm fine with people mistaking him for a youth or looking up to him as an adult (but why).
SOUND
He's voiced by Komatsu Shouhei. He sounds as moody and tired as you would imagine. Also, he sings because he's an anime. He's the third voice in this song.
There are also live action versions of Hizen through the stage play and musicals. I talk about the musical actor a bit because he's been 2 powerful on tour recently so have a reference.
That said! In general, Hizen speaks with a rather standard Japanese accent but he speaks very directly and tends to come off as very rude. Every now and then, he slips and uses more rural slang/speech so you can tell he's actually a country boy. The more tired or worked up he gets, the stronger it becomes. In English terms, imagine someone speaking with a more standard American accent but occasionally slipping into a southern accent or dropping southern slang (firefly > lightning bug, y'all, ain't, etc).
SCENT
Apparently sword boys might smell like iron and fire??? Other characters have also said Hizen ~smells~ like a killer in canon which probably means he smells like blood all the time.
IDK but despite dressing up and acting like a gremlin, he actually does bathe and take care of himself so in general, he smells pretty clean despite the odd killer sword scents. Or at least, as clean as he can when he smells like blood.

Look at his fucking art. He doesn't even wear his shoes right. He's just walking on the backs of his shoes? I hate him.

Her outfit, Wavecrest Waltz, is described as consummate elegance that shines through her neat and smart knight's uniform. It consists of a black leotard which has a silver symbol of her clan at the sides of the bottom, and the back cut out, with the center translucent and the upper body and sleeves, which ruffles out into blue, colored white, which have the sides of the shoulders cut out, held by a belt strapped below her breasts. Additionally she wears a blue tie, a pair of black gloves with blue palms, and blue stockings with thigh-high boots accented with silver with an additional strap, silver heels with spurs, and blue soles.
Eula is essentially a cool beauty, coming off as cold and standoffish while exuding the air of nobility without even trying. It especially extends to her fighting style with a claymore, where her unique Favonius Bladework combined with the Dance of Sacrifice conveys grace, power, and authority.

Eula has four voice actors, as shown here (sasuga Genshin). I usually take reference from her English voice, however. She does talk formally like a noble, but she's more toned-down compared to most examples since she is trying to break herself free from her noble heritage as she wishes to be more down-to-earth. She'd swear if she could, in other words. She tends to sound like a Karen sometimes too, especially when she goes on about her vengeance thing, but that's par for the course.
SCENT
Clean, so most of the time it's just soap and (expensive) shampoo. She'd wear expensive perfume too, if the situation calls for it. And sometimes, she could smell like the ocean.

To finish off the look, he wears a black bow tie and dark-colored pants, and a red shawl draped around his arms. His wizard crest is located under the left side of his collar bone, which was noted by the Sage as "quite a sight to see" -- like so. He can also be found smoking his pipe, aka his magical artifact used to enhance his magic.
As a born noble (you'll find that this is my type now RIP), he has a classy air around him. He's very aware of how seductive he can come off and he will use that to his advantage, but he is a thorough-bred gentleman for the most part who is seldom fazed by anything. That said, he is an eccentric Westerner like the rest of them, and he has a bit of a childishness within him that rarely if ever pops up every now and then.

Voiced by Shinnosuke Tachibana. He always sounds that alluring, and his pitch rarely changes even when angry. Cain had once described talking to him like being in a dimly lit lounge, as reference.

LANGUAGE: ...English and Japanese? Midgar uses both interchangably, so presumably he knows both (or at least their equivalent) to some degree.
VISION
Cloud is a stern-looking young man with a fair complexion and blue-green eyes. His wild blonde hair clumps into spiky bangs that frame his face, sitting high above his head as the sides drape past his ears. His resting face is that of a glare, his eyes narrowed in readiness and his lips turned downward in suspicion.
His outfit is that of a 1st-Class SOLDIER, albeit one that has seen better days. A sleeveless turtleneck combined with leather suspenders and a leather waistband that gives it the appearance - at least superficially - of a japanese cuirass or belly-warmer, which hold up baggy combat fatigues. In addition to this outfit, he wears a pair of leather gloves with metal wristguards on top, zippered combat boots, and a singular shoulder plate that has been repaired with bolts and rivets. The other shoulder plate is completely absent.
He holds himself apart from others - when interacting, he keeps his distance, and tends to stay out of people's physical bubbles - or rarely let others into his. His arms are typically at his side, on his hip, or folded across his chest, further cotnributing to his stand-offish nature.
SOUND
x; Cloud's English voice (which is what I mostly draw from) sits in the higher baritone ranges. His typical tone is usually bereft of any emotional inflection, but carries an edge to it, often making any cutting remarks he delivers that much sharper. He speaks casually to the point of bluntness, and where he can get away with monosyllabic responses, he typically does. His voice gets a harder edge to it when he's angry, and pitches up while he's shouting, but otherwise tries to stay monotone and disaffected regardless of the circumstance.
SCENT
Mostly clean - Cloud keeps himself clean, but doesn't use any special products, so soap and shampoo. Fresh off the battlefield, he might smell more of light sweat from exertion, and machine oil if he's recently cleaned his sword.
MISC
x; Cloud's fighting style is wild with a heavy broadsword or claymore - often letting the blade carry him forward with its heft and momentum. His bladework is solid, but has no finesse to it beyond his speed and acrobatics - preferring raw, punishing power to any fancy tricks.

VISION
The first thing one is likely to notice about Matoba is the spellpaper that covers the right side of his face. Like an eyepatch, it conceals his right eye, and is marked in ink with designs that evoke a bullseye. His hair, which is layered in a messy bob save the long hair tied in a low ponytail behind him, half-covers the right side of his face, leaving just enough of a gap for the left side. His exposed left eye's iris may appear black from afar, but is actually a dark red on closer inspection, with a slitted pupil that gives a more inhuman appearance. (He does insist he is fully human.) His eyeshape is fairly narrow.
Although Matoba is only 22 years old, the way he normally speaks and carries himself makes him seem much older, or perhaps of a higher class. As the Matoba's main tradition of exorcism practice is traditional archery (kyūdo), he is a little more fit than other magic-focused exorcists, and has been shown to be quite active physically. Still, his build is rather slender, which is mostly hidden in the layers of kimono he normally wears, which are always in dark colors with a black haori over the top of them. He occasionally wears black Western suits when necessary for business, but casually he is quite relaxed, favoring boyish athletic hoodies or loose tees with a sweatshirt, and jeans or cargos.
Matoba isn't particularly active with his body language nor does he tend to gesture openly, mostly expressing with his face and his tone of voice. He can normally be met with a calm or cheerful smile, but it never seems to reach something that can be called convincingly genuine. Even when subject matter turns dark or objectionable, his smile rarely drops; it may instead twist into a colder smirk, or widen into blatant amusement, but when his smile does fall away it's usually a sign of particularly serious matters, or a notable stutter in his mood. Sometimes, it's just mild annoyance, and he'll find some way to get himself smiling again in no-time, but generally you don't want to see him stop smiling- it probably means something worse is around than him.
You can try to make him blush, but you won't.
SOUND
Matoba is voiced by Junichi Suwabe! There is a distinct lack of Matoba-specific clips on youtube, huff. He speaks quite politely, using keigo pretty much all the time, but as you converse with Matoba it becomes clear that his technical politeness is often a cover for words that are often very blunt or antagonistic in content. His tone is calm and incredibly dry, and his way of speaking is always bordering something between silky and discomforting. Still, he'll break the airs of formality sometimes; he doesn't hide his mischievous streak when teasing, and when unexpected things make him burst out in laughter, he'll do so quite freely.
SCENT
For normal senses, Matoba may smell of incense, old paper, or wood. Youkai and those with keener noses can tell by scent that he's an exorcist; he reeks both of blood, and of purification- it's an intensely dry and searing scent like something being burned away.
MISC
AURA: For the spiritually sensitive, Matoba's aura is very strong; there's a somewhat discomforting layer of malice and bloodlust emanating from him that's mostly noticeable when he's speaking to aggressive non-humans. the ward over his right eye has a particularly powerful spell over it, and the hidden right eye itself has a powerful curse attached to it. The curse isn't in the eye itself, but the exceptionally perceptive can tell there is an attachment to it from something extremely powerful, and extremely malicious.

VISION
Tall and lean yet well built due to years of fighting and surviving, Gojyo is a 24-year-old Chinese half-human/ half-youkai (called a Hanyou or "taboo child" in his world) man with a rough yet charming demeanor. Generally outwardly human in appearance, his tells have recently accentuated themselves slightly due to the youkai that had taken possession of him from his previous game. He has deep blood-red hair and eyes that stand out with a supernatural vibrancy. His skin tans easily due to his years outdoors and looks good against his body's tone yet wiry musculature. With broad shoulders, a slender waist, and long legs, he very much prides himself on his appearance.
Despite his years of repeatedly almost dying, his body is surprisingly only covered in minor scars due to his unnatural healing capacity. The one exception seems to be the two large gash-like scars that mar his left cheek, which he often tries to hide by covering with his long hair. Speaking of hair, he swears the two stray pieces are not antenna
even if they may occasionally seem to react with his emotions.He wears his expressions on his sleeve and is almost humorously reactive to the things around him.
As for clothing, he fits in well with the Shuten Clan, for the most part. He loves bright, loud yet styled clothing. His most significant appeal is the pattern on his shirts, skinny tight-fitting pants, and oversized baggy jackets with texture. Although 50% of the time, he will be seen sporting a no shirt, just a jacket look. He is rarely caught without a cigarette dangling from his lips.
Other noticeable aspects are his unnaturally long and luscious eyelashes, as well as a strange gourd-like marking on the back of his neck. Thanks to the youkai possessing him from his days in Slumscape, he also has shimmering blue scales scattered along his cheeks, neck, shoulders, and back. He gained blue fin-like ears and a paired set of gills along his neck and under his arms along his ribcage.
He carries around a mask with him at all times, which is a representation of the youkai possessing him, an amabie. When she takes control of him, it usually shows through the dilation of his eyes and the blue coloring peaking around the pupils. His teeth also become sharper, his hair slightly longer, and his nails become claw-like.
SOUND
Gojyo speaks with a relatively low yet casual voice, which will occasionally go up in tone should he react emotionally. He speaks with the vocabulary of a guy who grew up on the streets and is not afraid to act as coarse as possible should he be given a chance. He'll often cut his words short and spam out cusses and slang as if it was a usual way to speak in polite company. Perhaps a blatant show of his no-cares-given attitude.
In the anime he is voiced by Hiroaki Hirata and he has a fairly mellow yet surprisingly soft signing voice.

VISION Jin Guangyaop is 36 years old, but looks closer to 25. His cultivation kept him a bit more on the youthful side, but he has a few grey hairs in there somewhere. He's a short man, all of 5'7 who is a bit more solid than he first comes across as. He is well toned from his martial arts training and has long medium brown hair done to the back of his knees. He has broad shoulders and a slim waist.
He has an advantageous face, the kind that most people like, with an expression that is always smiling and is very fair-skinned. He has long eyelashes and intelligent eyes. He wears a cinnabar mark between his eyes denoting him as a member of the Lanling Jin clan.
He has some scars under his clothing, some from the battlefield and some from his death. The most notable ones are on his abdomen where he hid a guqin wire, and the largest is a sword wound that goes through his chest and comes out the back. There is a thin scar around his right forearm as well. His posture is straight and elegant. He walks with poise and has the vibe of a friendly uncle. If you get closer to him he may feel comfortable enough to drop this mask. As friendly as he seems to be, there is a feeling of this person should not be crossed.
In Hakagemachi, he was possessed by a celestial kitsune, Koemi. His added traits are a pair of gold fox ears and nine large undulating fluffy tails. He has fangs and sharper teeth as well as black claws he paints gold.
SOUND
Jin Guangyao speaks fairly politely and formally at first, with a vague aristocratic air. His voice is soft, sweet, and even. But if he gets angry enough, (which isn't too outwardly common) or is comfortable enough the fake gentleman's voice drops, and the brothel child comes out.

Chris typically doesn't carry herself with much confidence, and even when she's aggressive she likes to let bigger, stronger friends stand up front to take the heat, but she's been working on being more assertive. She's not good at hiding her emotions, so if she's being sarcastic or passive-aggressive it's not hard to tell.
She does have good balance. At least, good enough balance to, er, carry... eggs in her cleavage, as part of an egg carrying race, I don't know don't look at me.
At this point, Chris wears her hair with a long braid to the right side, and her bangs over her left eye. She used to wear two braids but her friends said it looked too childish so she... got bullied into changing it... poor girl. While not ravishingly beautiful, Chris is certainly on the conventionally pretty side, especially when she's not being too much of a little shit, unless you're into that.
There don't seem to be any visible scars on Chris. Most of the time if a dragon gets close enough to leave a decent scar you're already dead, with some notable exceptions.

Chris tends to speak pretty casually and bluntly, unless she needs to not be blunt for some reason - she's fairly plain in her language, too, although her vocabulary isn't small either. Her voice tends to rise to the point of cracking a little when she's really angry or upset.

Kanroji Mitsuri

BUILD: mitsuri is quite curvaceous: she has a large bust (which is usually on display), a slim waist, and wide, rounded hips.
HAIR: her hair is bright pink, and fades into spring green, with messy bangs. it's very thick, and she usually keeps it in 3 braids: one along either side of her face, and one down her back. despite being braided her hair is still quite long and goes down to her hips.
EYES: big, round, and light green. she has notably long eyelashes, and a singular mole beneath each eye.
ORIGIN: taisho-era, japan.
LANGUAGE: japanese is her native language, and she's thrown around some english before (which has confused a castmate)! mitsuri was exposed to lots of western stuff, so while she isn't fluent in english by any means, i think she knows a few phrases on top of tons of different foods.
VISION
The first thing people generally notice about Mitsuri is her hair, since it's unusual for old-timey Japan. On top of that, her outfit does her no favours, as it isn't exactly ... proper, or the norm, to run around in a short skirt with her breasts out. Despite that, Mitsuri is very sweet and determined to do her best: she isn't exactly the 'sexy' type despite how her body is, and doesn't really pay her figure any mind normally. She can actually come across as quite shy and hesitant, since she can be very soft-spoken. During times of insecurity, Mitsuri also tends to 'hide' behind her hands: holding them in a fist to her mouth, or resting them on her cheeks often.
On many other occasions though, Mitsuri is very loud and bright. She can speak without thinking, although she's never unkind, and fires off questions and comments without blinking. She's been described by a castmate as "a pink chick going cheep cheep" for this reason, since she's incredibly social and cheery. It isn't uncommon to see her skipping and singing, or crying easily, and she always thinks good thoughts about those around her. I think it would be reasonable for people to recognize her as being naive and sheltered.
Weirdly enough, Mitsuri is shown to be clumsy on multiple occasions -- but her fighting style is characterized by being graceful and flexible? So she can be regarded as either of those things(like both ends of that spectrum), just at different times.
HC: I think Mitsuri also maintains her appearance well, since one of her attacks involves the phrase "messy nails". She would definitely be the type to paint them, and they do seem to be light pink when she's shown in a coloured medium. I think she'd even use whatever makeup they have at that time period -- like maybe her lashes are so long because of mascara? Please catch her doing skincare one day.
SOUND
So far in the anime, Mitsuri has only been shown being shy at the Hashira meetings and getting all lovey-dovey over her castmates. Her voice is high, and breathy. However, in the manga she's shown being very loud on multiple occasions -- enough so that the Wind Pillar dislikes her, and has complained about her volume before.
She's relatively formal, as she refers to everyone around her by -san if they're older than her or of a higher status. If they're younger she uses -kun or -chan with them. She has only one braincell though, so when she's describing things it tends to be with sound effects and other childish mediums like that.
SCENT
I feel like she would smell sweet, from all of the sugar and honey she consumes (since it was enough to change her hair colour, the sheer amount she eats is ridiculous so... i think it would permeate to her skin in this way too). Maybe a bit floral. Otherwise, she may have the lingering scent of whatever she's eaten en masse (like smoke if it was bbq or something).

It isn't expressely stated, but it's been shown (1, 2) that Mitsuri's family are quite well off as we see their family's courtyard a few times.
In comparison to Tanjirou that grew up in some house in the woods, Mitsuri's family has rivers and trees and bridges -- a huge and very, very fancy yard. I think a lot of her childishness and her naivete come from this upbringing. Not to mention being taken care of by Rengoku, and then being rich as a Hashira ... I don't think she'd understand a lot of poor people struggles, lol. JGK is definitely a change for her.

VISION
Although Saito can appear to be serious and calm at first glance, the nature of his calmness is not a tranquil, soothing one. Rather, it gives off the vibe of a looming insanity that's barely being restrained under a composed surface. And this reflects on his demeanor.
Which is curious to say the least, given that he's a good liar and actor, and not above using that skill to get what would be otherwise unattainable. But when he sees no point in lying, he's highly expressive and straightforward with his intentions. He is usually seen with either a blank frown that still manages to make him look deranged, or a grin that can range from smug to unsettling. The latter is a sure sign that any reservations about keeping a normal facade are long gone, and is often induced by the prospect or the act of killing.
As for body language, he carries himself well, even with an air of arrogance when he's purposely being irreverent. Though he's also shown to have a few exaggerated tics to accentuate his mental instability, such as flexing his fingers and tilting his head from side to side.
SOUND
In the Japanese dub, Saito speaks using casual language, more specifically the fictional rich boy or softer male role-language (for example, the pronouns "boku" and "kimi/anta", among other verbal tics). Whereas in the English dub he sounds more like an adult, and his speech portrays just a slightly more formal vibe, as most nuances of Japanese role-language can't be conveyed in the translation anyway.
He usually speaks in a bored, monotone voice, but his voice fluctuates according to his emotions. This is also lot more apparent in the Japanese dub, in which his voice is softer, yet grows gentler when he's speaking mockingly, and gets noticeably higher when he's excited — making him sound even somewhat childish. In the English dub this difference gets toned down considerably, and he sounds a lot more cartoonish when he's excited.
He's voiced by Tarusuke Shingaki in Japanese and Greg Chun in English.

Tenshi is a short japanese woman with long blue hair and red eyes who tends to puff herself up more than a little in any interaction that she's in. If ever there was a person who tries to stand on the balls of their feet regularly, so she gets just one more inch to look someone in the eye, it's this girl. She favors combat boots with heavy heels to give her a couple extra inches. She tries at almost every occasion to look imposing, but rarely accomplishes the feat. Her complexion is pale, even when she is getting regular sun and there is a certain 'pristine' quality to her appearance at all times.
She dresses in vibrant colors, favoring blues and whites as the dominants but with a flair for rainbow accents at almost every occasion. She prefers dresses over slacks and tends to lean in to whatever styles are fashionable at the time, though she does have a love for various oriental styles. She likes to wear a large black sun-hat adorned with a peach on its ribbon. The only thing that is absolutely rigid about her appearance, however, is that she is always armed unless social dictates inform otherwise. Strapped to her back is a Jian sword in a very heavy scabbard that she only draws when she's taking a fight seriously. At her side she has looped a bokken, or wooden sword, which she brandishes while on duty as a bouncer.
Tenshi has a demeanor that can best be described as being full of frenetic energy. She is constantly in motion, and doesn't settle down well. She's prone to twitching a little bit when forced to remain idle for too long (Unless at work, in which case she's been described as occasionally a little too focused for people's comfort). Carrying herself with the air of one who is ready to explode into motion, her constant eagerness is pretty obvious to anyone. She always seems to be smiling, even when she's pissed off.
She does not scar easily, though there may be a few marks that she keeps concealed underneath her clothing. Only an intimate would know this for sure.
SOUND
Her voice is on the high pitched side, and tends to come off as a little bit bubbly, even air-headed. She speaks loudly many times and, while she has a friendly demeanor she tends to talk over people and never seems to know when to shut up. Her constant state of energy is audible in her mannerisms, and she tends to be more than a little too casual in all occasions that are not strictly formal. It's not that she isn't aware of how to behave in formal society, so much as it is that she hates doing it. Even when irritated, Tenshi always seems to have an air of amusement or pleasure so long as she is not actively bored by an interaction.
SCENT
She smells lightly of peaches at all times. The scents she wears all carry this odor, and a steady diet of divine peaches has given her a very faint odor under most circumstances. Otherwise, she smells assiduously clean at all times.
MISC
Tenshi is about as intimidating as a newt if one ever tries to talk to her, right up until the moment she actually engages in combat. Despite her appearance, she is physically extremely strong and durable, far beyond human limits. She tends not to be really 'aware' of what this can seem like to others and so may be prone to casual displays of strength without thought. She very clearly has a bit of a "Napoleon Complex."
She is also, quite bluntly, an idiot and at the same time a know-it-all. She will proudly and animatedly speak about all the things she knows and is sure of, but at the same time she tends to be poorly informed and prone to very quick snap judgments that are usually off at any time. She is the very definition of "Fake it until you Make it" in most of her interactions.

Ryouma looks taller than he is because he has a very long, slender build overall and usually wears clothing that suits him well. His posture could be better. Usually wears what's recognisable as a Japanese Naval Officer's uniform and his cooler hat. If he's wearing a kimono, he tends to habitually tuck his left arm into the front of it instead of wearing it correctly.
His hair is dark, long, and could stand to be neater most of the time. When he tries to style it, he can get it to be very straight and neat but usually lets it do whatever it wants.
Ryouma is a very energetic and outgoing guy most of the time, but some people think he looks like he's up to something because he has sort of a shady-looking way about him sometimes.
SOUND
Ryouma has a very relaxing sounding voice to listen to! He's used to hiding his Tosan accent, so he tends to speak in a standard Japanese accent most of the time. How formal Ryouma sounds depends on the context. Since he doesn't need to disguise his accent as a matter of hiding his identity in Jigoku if someone gets him talking enough that he loosens up his accent will start slipping in here and there over time anyway.
Occasionally he will drop it entirely and go full Tosaben especially if he's tired, drunk, or doesn't care enough to bother. It sounds very "country" compared to how he usually speaks. Will butcher the pronunciation of words (and names) from other languages but he will definitely give them a try.
SCENT
Cigarettes, the sort of cologne that makes you think of the ocean when you smell it, and whatever sort of fabric softener he picked up at the laundromat the last time he did laundry.

I usually make a specific note of it in tags, but especially since the announcement made at the July mingle Ryouma has been looking particularly exhausted/frazzled as a result of his whole... life. The skin of his left shoulder is bloodlessly cracked like rock or too-dry earth, seemingly about to crumble at any moment. He has a gentle aura unless he's angry or challenged, at which point he has an aura of overwhelming negativity. He tends to come off as warm and kind, but not particularly approachable. Has no preference for Western or Japanese style clothing, but he tends to wear Western style clothing for Enma business. He generally carries two swords (as shown) wherever he goes.

CV: Tobita Nobuo. Sannan speaks incredibly formally most of the time, but if he's angry he may slip. His voice is soft and unassuming, with a gentle shake if he's particularly upset. He can sound firm when needed, and being resolute isn't a feat for him at all. He can be cold and passive-aggressive at times, and it absolutely sounds distant as hell. His transformation scene shows good range! This scene is major spoilers, but it shows off his range in the angrier moods.
SCENT
Not gonna lie, he probably smells like blood sometimes, considering he is basically Vampire Lite(tm) and drinks it from time to time. But otherwise, he smells like incense and warm spice, a dark and earthy sort of combination of scents. He'll wear cologne when it suits him, though if he's working or doing something somewhat undercover he'll want to avoid that for scent tracing purposes.
MISC
A happy note that Sannan does in fact change into a white-haired, red-eyed state when he's in his Fury mode. He currently can't activate it really, it just shows up when he has the whole bloodlust thing going on. Canon isn't super consistent on whether or not the Furies have fangs, but in some routes the protag just gets straight up bitten for blood, so I assume he has fangs at least in the Fury state.

Natori is an exceedingly handsome (like, movie-star/model handsome, which is why he's a movie star/model) young Japanese man with naturally blonde hair and red eyes. He's slim and superficially fit without any significant muscle-- basically in shape enough to do sexy shirtless scenes when needed but he is very clearly a lover, not a fighter. And by "a lover" I mean "a professional romance actor who turns on a flirty sparkle mode to wow his audience/annoy the people he's talking to." He typically wears casual but comfortable Western-style clothes when he's not on a job (plain long-sleeve shirts, light jackets, the sort of comfortable slacks that wouldn't embarrass him if he got caught out in them by the paparazzi but still functional enough to move around in). At work at the host club he's usually in a nice suit. At summer festivals, he'll put on a yukata and often, to the frustration of everyone around him, a paper bag on his head. He also sometimes wears an odd pair of non-prescription glasses.
There's also a black gecko-shaped youkai that lives on his skin like a moving tattoo. If you were to put a hand on it it would feel like any other part of Natori's body, though people who have a spiritual sense can probably tease out that it's a separate creature from him. It roams freely around his body with the exception that it never goes on his left leg. It also shows up in video/photographs of Natori (and has its own fanclub here in Jigoku-cho).
SOUND
Natori is voiced by Ishida Akira, playing to type as a mysterious soft-spoken sketchy pretty boy. He defaults to "ore" as a personal pronoun and "kimi" as a second person pronoun, but uses "watashi" and other more polite speech (teineigo, normal business kenjougo) when taking exorcist jobs. His voice trends on the breathy enigmatic side (again, Ishida Akira playing to type). The lizard makes a quiet slithering noise when it moves; it sounds vaguely sticky or slurp-y. It's loud enough to hear if you're talking face-to-face in a quiet area, but likely to get drowned out in the sounds of a busy city street. He doesn't react to the sound any more.

He either smells like he just walked out of a stylist's chair or like he's been tromping around in an old library in the woods, no in-between.

Nishitani is a son of a bitch and can easily be physically menacing. He is of average build and virtually always wears a proper suit, looking the part of a proper yakuza... mostly because he is! Always smoking, lover of bright colours and constant stimulus, Nishitani cuts both an attractive figure and a frightening one at once. He's got wrinkles around the edges, but he makes them work for him.
If you get him outside of his suit, well... he's sporting a ton of ink, including a full backpiece. Most of his scars have been inked over, but not all of them, and he's got a lot.
SOUND
Extremely gravelly, low, and with an osaka drawl. Here's the first scene we meet Nishitani in, from Yakuza 0!.

Nishitani smells of cigarette smoke 99% of the time, and the other 1% is when he's spilt booze on himself. Under that, he has a very earthy scent, almost like warm earth baking under the sun. He maintains himself fairly religiously, so unless it's been a hard week (looking at you, cursed rain), you won't catch him smelling stale or overly unpleasant.

Something that she doesn't point out is suspicious starry mark living on the back of her neck. It's kind of big in the image, but usually, it's small and slightly hidden by the fringes of her hair. If asked directly, she'll say it's a tattoo, but in Jigoku, she'll just go, "I don't know." It's basically the thing that makes her alien and in certain circumstances will spread out all over her skin as seen left.

Airy, but not quiet. Clear American English, but there is a hint of a Hispanic accent. She only ever speaks Spanish when she's around her grandparents or relatives. Her voice can also be low and husky when she expresses her flirtatiousness.

Unnoticeable at first, generally has a scent of whatever shampoo she's used (she does gravitate towards rosemary or honey). When she makes drinks, coffee, and tea tends to hover about her person. Think like hazelnut, caramels, cinnamon, mocha, espresso beans, and jasmine. When she wears perfumes, she goes for spicy, fruity, and crisp scents like green apple, citrus, orange blossom, and other sweet spices.

HAIR: long, bright yellow hair with red streaks akin to flames. two shoulder-length bangs, two chin-length bangs, all on the side of his head. he will typically tie part of it back into a ponytail to keep some of it out of his face.

visually, kyojuro is a person that tends to stand out in a crowd. with his bright hair, pointed eyebrows, and seemingly unblinking eyes, he definitely would earn a couple of strange looks, especially in jigokucho. he has excellent posture, and carries himself with an air of confidence. he has a tall, muscular-athletic build, and it would likely be obvious that he is some sort of warrior due to both the way he carries himself, as well as the way he may, at times, reach at his belt for a sword that isn't there anymore. (he's working on getting it back!) his hands look strong but worn. he tends to wear his hair up in a partial ponytail, to at least pull back some of it away from his face, though most of it falls down along the top of his back and shoulders.
in general, his expression is either one of calm contentment or obvious pleasure. he smiles a lot, and clearly expresses a great charisma and optimism in the way he looks and carries himself. there are moments where he may get lost in thought, or carried away by something negative--these moments are important, if only because he so rarely shows other emotion, or rarely lets others see that he experiences them. at times when he is fighting, his expression may also shift to being more serious, but that depends on the severity of the fight and the opponent. he tends to put his hands on his hips, fold his arms across his chest, or make a fist with his hand to show enthusiasm.
as he continues to wear his hashira uniform, even in jigokucho, it would be obvious that he has some affinity towards flames or fire: in addition to his hair, his haori has a white-yellow gradient pattern and red flame-like ridges at the end. he wears the paler brown version of the uniform: a brown gakuran jacket, a white belt around his waist and tattsuke-hakama pants; he also wears red kyahan with yellow flames erupting from the bottom up, pale brown tabi socks and a pair of white zori with red straps. the back of his gakuran jacket has the character "滅" on it.
he likely has many scars, both due to the process to becoming a hashira, as well as due to his hashira missions before arrival, and also potentially due to the treatment he received in youth from his father. the injuries given to him in the fight with akaza, prior to arrival, are not apparent here. he has no tattoos and no piercings.

as you can see, kyojuro tends to speak mostly as though he is shouting, or like he is hard of hearing--it's more that he is full of enthusiasm, and though he does know how to speak quieter, and does at times level his voice down, he often is speaking in quite a boisterous manner. he speaks japanese, but he does use sentence endings and words that would make him sound like he is from an older generation or era. he is fond of saying 'umu!' and 'ou!' as well. in general, it would appear that he is rather carefree in terms of his speaking volume, in that it doesn't seem to bother him or make him feel awkward at all.
he has a few definite habits when speaking, including the infamous 'umai' scenes when eating delicious food, as well as tending to refer to others with names based on their appearance/age, etc. (for example, he refers to zenitsu as 'kiiroi shounen' rather than by his name) he also tends to repeat things that others have said, or use very short, punchy sentences, where it may be confusing to know if he's...actually understanding what's being said or just missing the point. really though, he is actually a pretty good listener, he's just a bit weird in his verbal reactions to things.
SCENT
somebody please introduce kyojuro to cologne, i think he would like it...
in general, i imagine that he smells vaguely like a bonfire, mixed with that calming scent of green tea. he might also smell like whatever restaurant he just frequented: ramen, gyoza, etc. he keeps himself clean and presentable, and isn't the type to smell dirty, unless he's just been in a fight.
MISC
the male side of his family appears to have all the same stunning hair and eyebrows, so it would appear that is genetic....
also, just to pop this in for once he gets his sword back: kyojuro uses a standard nichirin katana, made from scarlet ore that is a deep shade of reddish-orange in color. it has the words 'destroyer of demons' engraved on the side. there is also a noticeable flame pattern on each side of his katana, and it has a white handle. his sword tsuba is shaped like a flame, with a red core and orange border. his sword sheath is white and grey.
