[On the one hand, they donât want to fight. They know all theyâre really good for is weaseling their way out of the fray when people are distracted, but theyâre all alone in this city and donât have any knights, princes, or nuns to use for distractions. (Or friends, you could call them, if you were normal.)
On the other, larger hand, it seems you canât pass through this part of the city without someone trying to accost you, and they all seem pretty pissed.]
Now, now. Thereâs nothinâ to be gained with fightinâ someone who canât defend themself, right?
[They have their hands up, trying to look as non-threatening as possible. It wouldnât be all that difficult, if it wasnât for the fact this gang has heard that some Lost Souls can do things beyond imagination, and donât seem to be buying that Hyacinth isnât one of them.]
Beatinâ up on me ainât gonna send a message, yâknow? Itâs just cruel, not somethinâ thatâll earn ya any respect or notice. If ya wanna make a statement, itâs gotta be earned, gotta come after a challenge to make âem take noticeâŚ
[Theyâre slowly backing up as they talk, well aware their stalling is just annoying the gang. They bump into someone - another Lost Soul, it seems - and decide to take the opportunity thatâs been given to them.]
Like them! This guyâs gonna be way more of a challenge than me!
[A shove at your back - which might not move you much at all - and then theyâre turning tail and booking it as fast as they can now that the attentionâs shifted.]
strike a poise;
So, ya havinâ a good time?
[Hyacinth is in good spirits, even as they wobble on the geta. Itâs hard to walk in them, and theyâre not an especially graceful or fit person to begin with. They wouldnât consider themself clumsy, by any means, but theyâve seen grace. They know they donât have it.
Still, that unsteadiness is the entire part of this, isnât it? They know that the clientele is here at least in part for the show, and theyâre not about to get mad about being laughed at for something they knew they wouldnât excell at.]
Apologies in advance for spillinâ on ya. Gonna do my best not to, but canât make any promises!
[Hopefully those ponchos are effectiveâŚ]
Now, what can I get ya?
sticky paws;
[Well. That was a fruitless chase. Running through alleyways just to find out they were chasing after a normal cat that definitely wasnât who stole their wallet.
(They didnât have too much money yet, but that just adds insult to injuryâŚ)]
At least yer cute.
[Theyâve scooped up the wrongly accused, and are currently carrying the cat like itâs a baby.]
Think I could hold this chubby fella hostage and get my wallet back that way?
[Surely you can understand desperate times, desperate measures, yeah? Though itâs not clear how serious theyâre being.]
100 billion yen man;
[Theyâre looking at the goods on display, a thoughtful frown on their face as they pick things over. They pick up a knife - sturdy, more for survival than combat - and turn it over a few times before putting it back down. They repeat this a few times, ignoring the way the shopkeeper is staring them down, before they finally look over at their fellow Lost Soul.]
Hey, Iâve been wonderinââŚ
[They gesture with their latest test knife.]
How much is 100 billion yen anyways? Like, itâs a big number anâ all, but how farâs that gonna take me? A buildinâ? Or even moreân that? Cuz it seems it could get me a lotta knives, but I ainât sure just yet of these are cheap.
[Probably shouldnât insult the wares right out like that⌠But still! They know thereâs a sale going on right now, but it doesnât add up.]
wildcard; [You know how it goes. Also apologies for not having any info posts up yet, I am bad at consoldating what I write and getting it posted anywhere, Iâll get something up at⌠some point⌠This is more of a testrun than anything else even though I know itâs late in the tdm cycle ITâS FINE THIS IS ALL IMPULSE BABY.]
